Belated Insecure Writer's Support Group post due to bad internet....grrrr

"The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling and encourage them. This allows writers to express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!" - from the blog, click the image above to follow the link.

November 3 question - What's harder to do, coming up with your book title or writing the blurb?

For me, personally, it has become harder to write the blurb, I have no idea how to do it, but will have to learn soon as I'll be almost done with this edit and need one by the end of the month. The title is relatively easy for me, the first one 'Sorcery' is about well Sorcery and some people that wield magic, the second 'Human Relations' is about a woman who falls into a superhero dimension, the third 'Vampire's Revenge' is well you guessed it about a Vampire and so on. They might be overly simplistic, but they do suit me.

One thing I do however have an issue with is the costing of things, such as editing, writing courses, proofreading. I am well aware that people need to make a living, shucks, if I could do it I would, but I think personally there needs to be a cost there for people who are only starting out, unemployed, or disabled that they can afford. Too often these things are a few hundred, or near to a grand cost wise, and quite frankly, people like me on Invalidity, with the costs of renting a house, heating bills, lighting bills, food bills, travel bills et al., we never have enough money to afford them, or to save towards them. Emergency savings always end up going for, well emergencies.

I feel sometimes like some individuals are forgetting where they came from, that they had to start with little or nothing themselves. Whatever happened to giving back and helping those coming up behind them? Writing it appears to me is becoming more and more elitist, if you can't afford the things to help your novel be the best that it can be, then you aren't welcome.

And then there are others, one or two amazing people who will help you along, and do their best to do for you what they can, so that you in return can help the next person climbing that ladder behind you. With 'scholarships' or a payment for disability, unemployed, or low waged. When something costs 1,000 euros, I think it needs rethinking. Am I being delusional?
