X, Y and Z...the end!

X is for...X Factor in your characters

Do your characters have the X factor? Will they be the likeable character? The one that readers fall in love with, or the one that they will love to hate? The X factor will tell you that. When creating your character profile, make sure that you note on it whether this character is good, to be liked, or the direst of the dire. Then write them as you have dictated.

Y is for...Yearning / Goal what is your characters goal.

The Yearning of the character, or their goal is very important, it can be something as simple as survival, love, freedom or fun, or as complex as solving a murder, winning a competition, or stopping a war. Goals or yearnings are important when creating your character.

Z is for...Zen or Zone.

A characters Zen, their calmness in the face of obstacles, destruction, death, living in space, or under the sea, or even crime. Or don't they. These are important things to know when creating your characters. How do they get into the Zone of solving issues, of staying calming, or getting calm if they are afraid.
