How do you learn your craft?


How does a writer learn their craft, do they study books in the genre they are going to base their novel in? Do they troll you tube and websites? Do they attend courses, or/and enter competitions hoping to gain feedback? Do they study books written on the craft of writing? Or do they use a mix of several of these, maybe even something else.
