Book Stores Rant...

I am all for independent book stores, I frequent them when I can. My problem is that I live up the side of a mountain with no transport and no independent book store in the local villages. Some stores aren't even online, all of them don't sell ebooks, and most don't do self published...now, I know ye hate the big A with passion, but tell me where else can I sell my books for a reasonable price? Where else can I create my books for the same price? I have 9 book shelves crammed with books and one kindle the same. I read both paperback and ebook (because unlike some I support new novelists starting out, and older books one cannot get any more). I am no fool, and I've done my research, have you? I can't stand bezos, so tell me, what do I, and others in my boat do? Please, I'm listening, because I have asked before and all the usual recommendations cost more than I can afford, so come on...tell me...who do I change to where I can get the same job done for what they charge me..I'm listening.
