June Insecure Writers Support Group

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer—aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

JUNE 3 Question: Do most of your story ideas come from one place (the news, dreams, etc.) or do they hit from all over the place?

ANSWER
For me the ideas come from all over the place, a song, a book, a movie...sometimes even a stray what if...thought. Then it's a scramble for something to take notes on.

They are allowed to purculate until I absolutely have to write it down and at that it's a throw up draft, everything I know down on paper until it's time to create the outline.

These ideas usually happen when my mind wants to do anything other than focus on what I'm working on at that time. All these throw ups reside Alphabetically in three A5 ring binders or use at a future time.

Until next time, see you around the web Tww

  2. Happy creating in June, Gina. I do throw up drafts and then write outlines too. Sometimes I just write to figure out what I'm trying to write. All the best to you!

  3. Gotta love old school binders.
Hey, are you 76 and 78 on the list, or am I going nuts? Because 78 isn't working.

  4. Sounds like you've got plenty of material to keep you busy! A throw up. I might have to adopt that term.

  5. It sounds like you get lots of ideas. I suppose the problem becomes-what becomes a story!
